Meet Patrick Walsh

ACTOR, STUNTMAN, ENTREPRENEUR, AUTHOR

Patrick Michael Walsh Jr. was born in Trenton, New Jersey on December 4, 1965. He is the youngest child of Patrick Walsh Sr., a successful professional boxer and iron worker, and Evelyn Walsh, a real estate broker. Pat graduated from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of the men’s NCAA Division 1 soccer team. The Gamecocks qualified for the NCAA tournament all four years that Walsh played, including a final four appearance during his senior year in 1988. After college, Pat played professional soccer for the New Jersey Eagles of the American Soccer League

After hanging up his soccer cleats, Pat worked as a Government Bond Broker in New York until he began dabbling in the film industry. By 1995, Pat secured his first major work on a Hollywood project as a stunt man on Die Hard: With a Vengeance, starring Bruce Willis. Pat went on to perform stunts on such notable films as The Patriot, John Wick, You Were Never Really Here, and Manchester by the Sea. Along with an ever-growing list of film and television stunt work credits, Pat also has worked as an actor in a number of films including, Invincible, I Heart Huckabees, Ted 2, Black Mass, Altar Rock, and Jungleland.

Along with his work as an actor and stuntman, Pat also has written and recorded children’s songs with his lifelong friend and award winning recording artist, Dan Lavery of Tonic. His work with Lavery eventually inspired Pat to write his first screen play entitled The Cool Beans: Humbucket Caper. The work went on to receive four Dove stars from the Dove Foundation and is currently in production as an animated feature through Walsh’s animation company, Walsh Family Media. Patrick also owns and operates his own independent production studio, The Cool Beans Studio, out of Midtown Manhattan.
